Young men are searching for truth

What’s the purpose for my life?

How can I know what is the truth?

​How can I deal with hurts from my past?

How can I have genuine hope for my future?

How can I become the man I was created to be?

Does God have a plan for my life?

How can I live for His Kingdom?

 

These are foundational questions every man needs to answer.  We have to know who we are & why we’re here, otherwise we’ll feel lost & unsure.  Part of what makes you a man is taking the responsibility to work out what you believe.

The truth is we’re all working out how to do life.

We’re searching for meaning & fulfilment. 

And we all have challenges to face.

So we’ll talk about real life things like ..

• How you can know God in a real way, we'll clearly share the truths of the gospel

• We'll talk honestly about the challenges young men face

  • overcoming porn & sexual temptations

  • getting free from issues in your past

  • knowing your identity

• We'll talk about what it means to be a disciple, how you grow in your faith to be strong, mature & fruitful

• How you can build healthy relationships that lead to great marriages

• We'll talk about knowing your purpose, how you can be equipped to fulfil your role in God's Kingdom

• By the end of the weekend you'll stand shoulder to shoulder, a band of brothers building each other up

 

 

So that we can do all that, this weekend is a bit different to other camps ..

• It’s only for young men, so they can be real & open with each other

 

• We’ll challenge young men to give everything to Jesus.  This weekend will be a great camping trip, but it’s much more.  It’s a challenge to surrender to the King, it’s a call to be obedient, it’s the start of becoming the man God created you to be.

 

• We’ll encourage young men to become disciples, we want to get young men into God’s Word, growing stronger in their faith, committing to going & making disciples themselves

 

• And the whole weekend is free, we want every young bloke to be able to come

If you’re not yet sure what you believe, this weekend is a good place to search for answers.  Come along.

 If you’ve just started to believe in Jesus, then this is for you.  This weekend will build strong foundations in your faith, we’ll encourage & challenge you as grow stronger in your relationship with Jesus. 

 If you’re already following Jesus, I’m really glad you’re here.  You’ll be encouraged & challenged to grow deeper in your faith & you’ll be equipped to serve your King.

Knowing Jesus is the purpose of your life

The truth you’re searching for, the forgiveness for your past, the hope for your future is all found in Him.   

And coming to know Jesus will change you.  And He wants to use you to change the eternal destiny of those around you also.

This is the greatest adventure you can have

King David was the greatest King who’s ever lived & he had a massive army.  But within that army he had a small group of mighty men that he really trusted.  They weren’t necessarily the strongest or most highly trained warriors. 

But they were men who would run into a fierce battle to save one of their mates. 

They were men who would stand & fight when everyone else was retreating. 

They were men who would fight until they had complete victory. 

They were men of courage, men of honour. 

They were men who were willing to commit their very lives to their king.

 

God is looking for men like this.  Men who aren’t the strongest or most talented. 

But men who are willing to seek God with all their hearts.

Men who are willing to trust Him regardless of what’s going on in their life.

Men who will depend on Jesus for the courage to confront their struggles.

God is calling you to be one of His mighty men .. Are you up for the challenge?

We need to know not just how to be christian’s, but how to become men of God.

Men who know who they are & what their role is.

Men who are set free from their past & have a concrete hope for their future.

Men who will stand up & fight for their family.

God has created you to be this sort of a man.  He has a plan for your life, you need to know how to live it.

​So let me be up front, this is not going to be easy.  It will take commitment.  You have to be willing to open up your heart to God.    But anything of great value has a cost.  And I want to tell you, Jesus is worth it a million times over.  And remember what He was willing to go through for you.

God has the power to change your life

I know because He’s changed mine.  And I’ve seen Him change 1000’s of other men also.  And when God changes a man, it doesn’t just affect him, it impacts everyone around him. 

Through the power of Jesus’ victory on the cross, by the transforming power of the Holy Spirit, you can become God's mighty man.

 

You need this, your mates & family need this, our nation is desperate for this.
